Initiative Route NN

Enable Mobility for Everyone

“Promoting diversity and participation – a French-German Network for the exchange of best practice examples on the regional and local level”

The background to the creation of "Route NN" is based on a simple postulate: all young people from the regions of Hauts-de-France and North Rhine-Westphalia must have the opportunity to participate in a Franco-German exchange programme.
The founding members of the "Route NN" initiative are clubs, associations and young committed people who have been involved in the international field for several years, supported by the DFJW.

The following members participated in the creation of the Intiative: On the German side the Gustav-Stresemann-Institut e.V., Arbeit und Leben DGB/VHS NRW, IKAB-Bildungswerk e.V., on the French side CEFIR, Union Régionale des Francas of the Nord-Pas-de-Calais region, Fédération Léo Lagrange Nord/Ile-de-France, Génériques, CÉMEA Nord-Pas-de-Calais as well as the DFJW Junior Ambassadors* "Diversity and Participation".

Together we are committed to promoting diversity and participation for all in a tolerant and appreciative society. We have therefore decided to pool our experience in order to promote the mobility of a larger number of young people, whatever their profile, in our fields and thus support their individual development. Thanks to our competences in the field of intercultural pedagogy and project planning, we are now able to create a link between local actors and institutions, political leaders, social workers, educators, socio-cultural youth leaders, teachers, guidance counsellors, etc. The aim of this networking is to promote the mobility of young people in order to facilitate their social integration.
